SIT Laboratory

Torque wrenches are precision instruments requiring a great care handling. Their reliability represents a fundamental aspect for the people who employ these tools, therefore their calibration must be checked periodically and very carefully.

Utensilerie Associate has an advanced metrology laboratory able to assure precision measurements, carried out in perfect environmental conditions by skilled technicians who scrupulously apply procedures approved by the SIT Department (Servizio di Taratura in Italia - Italian Calibration Service) of the Gustavo Colonetti Metrology Institute.

Utensilerie Associate of Monvalle is in fact accredited as a SIT calibration centre (Centre N° 97) for torque measurements in the 9-1000 Nm range, in accordance with UNICEI (EN 45000) standards, and is authorized to issue the SIT certificate.

The SIT certificate is an official document which, according to the measurements carried out, indicates the state of calibration of instruments such as torque wrenches.

Measurements are made according to the norm UNI EN 26789 (ISO 6789) which define in particular the precision required for torque tools ((± 4% or ± 6% for torque wrenches depending on the type and ± 6% for torque screwdrivers).

Obtaining the SIT certificate is a goal stating the high quality that the U.A, laboratory constantly help you to reach in the best way.

The SIT certificate (Italian Calibration Centre) has international validity thanks to EAL mutual-recognition (European Cooperation for the Accreditation of Laboratories).

Now USAG has become a reference point for the users of these instruments, since the company offers its calibration service to anyone who owns a torque wrench that happens to require attention, independently of the brand.
